Spring Spectacular
This weekend was fantastic! It was our spring Jersey show in Viroqua and it was really cold. I placed 5th in junior showmanship. I used Jackie for showmanship. Friday night was the sale. My grandpa and I bought 3 heifers. Lola is a August summer yearling, Satin is a fall calf and CJ is a December calf. I showed Lola on Saturday. She was 14th out of 35-40 summer yearlings. That was really good for her because she didn't even put on a fill Saturday morning and she had a bad clip job from the sale. I think I can get her to grow and be able to do good this summer. We didn't show Satin because we bought her from the judge. CJ was too little show right now. Showing Jackie was AWESOME! She was 6th and 1st junior owned animal. The heifers that were ahead of her were full age, and she is an April heifer. One of the cows in the string was reserve intermediate and reserve grand champion. Her name is Flirt. I got to help take a professional picture of her. I got to hold the tail down for the picture. That was my first time helping to take pictures. I'm going to work on learning to clip by starting to clip heifers at John's.

This week at school
On Monday we went to Madison. It was cool. The capital building was awesome. Cave of the Mounds was exciting and fun. We toured the cave and got to see lots of rock formations. The Paul Bunyon trip was fun also, but not as good as the Madison trip. Today we took a surprise quiz in math. I think I did ok. We had a popcorn party for the kids who walked to school on Earth Day. That was really fun. This was a fantastic week!

Sunday at the farm
Today I spent all day at the farm. We went to the fairgrounds and bedded down for the show. We had to shake a lot of straw because we are going to have almost 25 head. I worked with my calves. Jackie is still being crazy and Andrea is still being stubborn. I got her to lead if I led her like a steer. Next Saturday will be interesting. My dad is coming up Thursday night. Michael is coming out for the show and sale too. I can't wait, it will be fun. This week will rock because of the field trips and the show.

Saturday
Today was awesome. I spent last night at Trygve's house. This morning we bounced on the trampoline. Then this afternoon I had a junior dairy club meeting. We saw how to use a float tank for down cows and how to ultrasound cows. Then I went to John's to work on my heifers. Jackie is starting to be naughty and Andrea won't lead for me, just for my mom. Mom got Atly and Vanity out today too. They were my heifers from last year. Atly will be in the same class as Jackie. I can't wait for the field trips this week. I'm really excited to go to Madison. It will be cool to be gone so long. I can't wait for the spring show next weekend. My goal is to win junior showmanship.

Latest Happening
I went to Viroqua today to work with my show calves. I started working with a different September calf. My friend Grant is going to show the stubborn one. Or he will try to show her. The new heifer I started working with today started to lead pretty well. Her name is Andrea. I also worked with Jackie again. We tattooed 3 calves that might be going to the Spring Show. That is really cool. John kept teasing me that he was going to tattoo my ear.
This weekend
This weekend I went to the Fur Fin and Feather show for 4-H. I took my rabbit. Her name is Alaska. She is a Netherland Dwarf. I won Junior Showmanship with her. I got a big trophy. She got a red in her class. She is too big. I'm going to work with my show calves at John's this afternoon. The heifer I bought in Maryland got her about a week ago. Her name is Jackie and she leads fantastic. The other calf of John's is really stubborn. I can't get her to move. I don't know if I'll get her halter broke by Spring Show.

Today at school
Today we talked about safety patrol stuff. Safety patrol sounds really cool. I'm excited about the trips. In Language we have an adjective worksheet due for tomorrow. We read a Weekly Reader in Mrs. Guns' room. It was about a bunch of states in the US are losing bee populations.

E111 News
Today we had two musics. One was in the morning and one was in the afternoon. We practiced with Mrs. Sullivan's class. Mr. Stoeckly said he would be nice to start the new quarter. He put the answers up on ELMO and said we could fix our errors. We had half an hour switches because of music. It was kind of a mixed up day.
